Excel: Raise The Bar!

One of my greatest dreams is to see a Nigeria where excellence is not only celebrated, but is also demanded from every citizen. I look forward to a Nigeria where a person is not disdained for trying to do the right things, where you are not labelled 'overbearing', simply because you want to see things done a bit better.

I believe a day will come in Nigeria when the drivers of the cars behind me won't start honking their horns impatiently and cursing at me when they drive past because I stopped for a red light on a Sunday morning when there was no officer around to arrest me for not stopping. I look forward to a Nigeria where people don't roll down their windows while driving just because they want to toss trash out.

Let that day come when people don't look at me like I have all the time in the World simply because I choose to use the pedestrian bridge instead of crossing the expressway illegally. May that day come when market women won't insult you for haggling to get the best prices for their wares.  I look forward to receiving excellent customer service from bus drivers (at least we could start with polite language).

I look forward to an excellent Nigeria full of excellent citizens where everyone is always determined to raise the bar in everything they do! It begins with YOU.
