According to The Nature's Farmacy, there are certain fruits and veggies that can cure any disease or illness. I guess you need to eat them consistently and in large quantities to see the effect, but if this is true, it would make sense to say eating lots of all these fruits all the time will prevent most diseases in the first place. What do you think?
