For The Love Of Food: How To Make The Creamiest Coleslaw


Coleslaw is one of the simplest things ever to make, but the way it is made in several places is just a huge turn off. Some people think it's just about tossing shredded carrots and cabbages together and adding a blob of mayonnaise or salad cream to the mix. Most times, the veggies aren't even shredded thinly enough. Anyway, this is how you make the nicest, creamiest coleslaw like a chef boss!

Ingredients
  • Mayonnaise, 1 cup
  • Fresh lemon juice, 3 tablespoons
  • Finely shredded cabbage, 6 cups
  • Chopped green bell pepper, 1/2 cup
  • Finely shredded carrots, 2 cups
  • Sugar, 2 tablespoons
  • Salt, 1/2 teaspoon
How To Make It
  1. Mix all the vegetables in a bowl.
  2. Add mayonnaise, lemon juice, sugar, and salt to it.
  3. Mix all the ingredients well so that it coats properly.
  4. Cover and chill it. Serve chilled.
To Get The Perfect Creamy Taste

You can refrigerate it overnight to make the coleslaw creamy. The vegetables will absorb the taste properly and the sauce will break down to become more creamy. Just be sure to mix it well before you serve!
