Forget Store Bought Microwave Popcorn. Here's How To Make Your's At Home!

I don't know how popcorn came to be the traditional snack for movie watchung, but it sure makes senss to have a big bowl of the crunchy, buttery, sugary stuff in your lap while seeing a movie (all curled up on the bed or sofa with the lights off). When you can't go buy a freshly made batch of popcorn to quietly enjoy while watching a movie at home, microwave popcorn seems to be the way out.

However, the issues I have with store bought microwave popcorn are diverse. For starters, the amount of chemicals, artificial flavours and preservatives that they contain is something to fret about. Then, there is the fact that they never seem to contain enough butter nor sugar. So, why continue with those when you can make yours?

This clever food hack shows just how easy it is to make healthy popcorn at home in a brown paper bag. All you need are the bag, popcorn kernels, melted butter, salt, and seasoning. Now you can have all the flavour you want in no time. It doesn't even leave a mess!

All you have to do is pour in all your ingredients in a bowl and mix them all up properly. Transfer the whole thing into the paper bag and fold it tightly at the top but ensure you leave some space for the popcorn kernels to rise and pop in. Stick the bag in your microwave for about 2 minutes and wait by your microwave!

Now, maybe you want to say goodbye to those rectangular boxes of popcorn labelled 'extra butter' too.
