The Epiphany

She struggled within her
"You are just a child, little one", the voice said
"Why do you think of yourself as anything more than that?"
"What do you know? For how long have you lived?"
"How can you even dare to stand among the big guns?"

But the other voice spoke softly, and at the same time, firmly
"You are a woman, a strong and confident one!"
The voice further prompted her,
"Yes, you were just a girl, but you've blossomed!"
"The girl you were was only a preparation for the woman you were to be"
"Look at yourself, does the passion in there not astonish you?!"
"It most never fade. It is what you need to color the World"

Tears pricked her eyes and her eyes swelled,
But not a single tear dropped!
Her mouth straightened and set in a firm line
She thought to herself
"I have left the girl I was behind,
And yet, in the eyes of this strong woman I have become,
There is a beautiful reflection of the girl I once was.
