Ingredients
- 1kg of white flour (tip, you can use wheat flour if if you want to avoid white flour, but you will have to be careful with adding water).
- 125g of margarine (use 250g for soft chin chin)
- 200g of granulated sugar.
- 75g of powdered milk.
- 4 large eggs
- 2 medium sized nutmegs/1 tablespoon nutmeg powder

- Vegetable oil.
Making The Dough
Put all the dry igredients into a large bowl (make sure you sieve your flour), add the margarine and rub it into the flour thoroughly till you can't feel any lumps of butter. Add in the whisked eggs and water and knead till you have a firm and smooth dough. The dough has to be firm enough to be rolled.
Rolling and cutting the dough
Get a flat surface or use a rolling/cutting board and rolling pin to flatten your dough. Once it is flat, you can cut into any shape you want, either the regular dice shapes or using a dough cutter if you are making large quantity.
Flattening the dough
Cut into diced pieces with a knife
Or use a dough cutter for making large quantity:
Feeding in the pieces into the cutter...
Deep fry the cut pieces in pre-heated vegetable oil, While frying, stir continously until the colour becomes golden brown, then scoop them out and drain.
Deep fry
Your chin chin is ready for the eating!
Enjoy!
