If like me, you have ever felt the sudden coldness (inside hot weather) and the numbness that comes from realizing your very expensive phone has been stolen, then you'll find this bit of information useful. It's worth knowing if the cost of tracking won't be more than the cost of replacing the stolen phone. This was sent to me, I don't know if it works in Nigeria yet, but it's still worth knowing.

Each mobile carries a unique IMEI no. i.e. International Mobile Equipment Identity number which can be used to track your mobile anywhere in the world.

This is how it works!!

1. Dial *#06# from your mobile.

2. Your mobile shows a unique 15 digit.

3. Note down this number anywhere except of course in your mobile as this is the Number which will help trace your mobile in case of a theft.

4. If your device is stolen, you just have to E-mail this 15 digit IMEI No. to cop@vsnl.net with the details listed below.
