Using any of the network providers in this country means you are probably one of the very frustrated subscribers who receive several unsolicited messages and voice calls from annoying shot code numbers such as 35070, 5900, 35452 etc every day! It's particularly annoying on days when you are expecting an important message or call and your phone keeps ringing, but it's only Glo or MTN calling or texting. I have called customer care several times asking for them to please make it stop. Most times, they tell me the texts are sent by 'third parties' and my question is "how did the annoying third parties get my phone number in the first place if y'all didn't sell them the information?"
Ok, I'm going to stop raving about it now. NCC seems to finally want to help us out of this. There is now a toll free line you can call to complain about all the unfairness. The number is 622. maybe if enough Nigerians called to complain, something will finally change!
